🎉 Celebrating 16 Tremendous Years! 🎉
Sixteen years ago, I stepped into the tremendous role of leading Tremendous Leadership. The journey was not without trepidation. In October 2008, the world was in the midst of a global financial crisis—the economy was in turmoil, markets were crashing, and uncertainty loomed everywhere. It was a daunting time to take on a leadership role, let alone attempt to sell a home and move from MO to PA to carry forward the tremendous legacy my father built.
Before coming home to take on this mantle, I shared my doubts with my hairdresser in Saint Louis. She reminded me of the story of Elijah and Elisha and the principle of succession found in 2 Kings 2:9-10:
"When they had crossed, Elijah said to Elisha, 'Tell me, what can I do for you before I am taken from you?' 'Let me inherit a double portion of your spirit,' Elisha replied."
Most scholars agree that Elisha spent six years learning from Elijah. Similarly, I had spent a lifetime studying under my father, both as a child and from afar as an adult. As Elijah passed his mantle to Elisha, my father passed his tremendous mantle to me. Two days before my father, Charles “Tremendous” Jones, passed into eternity, he squeezed my hand and told me, “You will take the business places I never could.”
In that moment, this became my prayer as well—to inherit a double portion of Tremendous Leadership’s spirit. My ask wasn’t born of competition or the desire to be “better” than my father. It came from a deep sense of continuation and completion: to carry on his work and fulfill the journey he began. Sixteen years later, I can confidently say God answered my prayer—many times over!
A Legacy of Tremendous Achievements:
✨ Published 11 Life-Changing Classics, including 2 in Spanish, alongside 58 books and 15 children’s books.
✨ Hosted 55 phenomenal leaders on the Leaders on Leadership podcast, sharing their wisdom with the world.
✨ Earned a Ph.D., a Mrs., and a professional coaching and adjunct professor designation, fueling my personal and professional growth.
