Love is not just a feeling—it is a choice. We make it every single day, not because it is always easy but because it is always worth it. Love is choosing to grow through adversity rather than be broken by it. As Charlie "Tremendous" Jones said, "Things don't go wrong and break your heart so you can become bitter and give up. They happen to break you down and build you up so you can be all that you were intended to be." True love isn't just about joy—it's about persevering, even when life shakes you to your core.

Each of us is instilled within a desire to love and be loved; that is the reason we look forward with hope to tomorrow. There is no other reason we exist than to express love and receive love. This truth is also why some walk around dead long before they are buried. When this cornerstone is not there, our foundation crumbles and we crash. Sometimes, it is a fire that is extinguished; other times, we burn to the ground.

Last year, Tremendous Leadership had the honor and privilege of being the lead sponsor for A Tremendous Christmas at the Italian Lake in Uptown Harrisburg. This event benefitted Bethesda Mission, located in Harrisburg, PA. This organization provides a men’s, women’s and children’s shelter, along with a medical and dental clinic. We raised $8,565 to help meet the increasing need of more bed space, develop a new women’s shelter and renovate and expand a community center for the youth of Harrisburg.
